Gold Coast 2018 - Wales at the Commonwealth Games

Our sportsmen and sportswomen love the Commonwealth Games because it means competing under the Welsh flag. Some former champions added to their medal tally from 4 years ago and a number of our rising stars made a name for themselves. In fact, Team Wales was the number 1 overachiever out of any nation competing as we picked up 13 more medals than expected based on the average number of competitors. It just goes to show the talent Wales has!

Wales has a proud history in sport and we have performed well at past games. In fact, Wales is currently tenth out of the 71 competing nations on the all-time medal winners table, with 270 medals overall.
