Our AONBs offer some of the most exceptional scenery in the UK.

The Welsh Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are:

They offer plenty of opportunities to see nature, take photographs, enjoy walking or just being outdoors. They’re superb places for holidays and days out. Our hills, rivers and coastal landscapes will simply blow you away!

Like our national parks, AONBs are living and working areas whose landscapes, culture, flora and fauna are considered an asset to the nation. They are protected by law.

If you enjoy walking, cycling, sightseeing, watersports or wildlife-watching, you’ll love the Welsh AONBs. There are rolling hills, clean rivers and beaches to discover.
